Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 8, 2026

Welcome to Squibly. These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using Squibly's mobile app, website, parent dashboard, and related services. By creating an account or using Squibly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Squibly.

1. About Squibly

Squibly is a kids video app with parent controls. Squibly helps parents create child profiles, manage approved content, review video digests, set screen time limits, and guide their child's viewing experience.

The child-facing experience is primarily designed for mobile and tablet use. The parent dashboard may be available on mobile or web for reviewing content, managing settings, and viewing child activity.

2. Parent Responsibility

Squibly is intended to be used under the supervision and control of a parent or legal guardian. By creating a Squibly account, you confirm that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child profile you create.
  • You have authority to provide consent for your child's use of Squibly.
  • The information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • You are responsible for managing your child's content, settings, screen time, and account access.

3. Child Profiles

Parents may create one or more child profiles under a parent account. Child profiles may include details such as nickname, birthdate, selected Squib character, content preferences, parental control settings, and approved videos or channels.

Squibly uses this information to support age-appropriate recommendations, parental controls, video digests, and child-specific app settings.

4. Parental Consent

Because Squibly is designed for children, we may ask for parental consent before collecting or using information related to a child profile.

By giving consent, you allow Squibly to collect and use your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy and Parental Consent notice.

You may withdraw consent, request deletion, or ask to review your child's information by contacting us at: hello@squibly.app

5. Subscriptions and Free Trial

Squibly may offer paid subscriptions, free trials, or promotional access.

If Squibly offers a free trial, access will continue until the trial ends unless canceled or converted to a paid subscription based on the terms shown at checkout.

Subscription billing, cancellation, renewal, and refund handling may be managed through Apple App Store, or Google Play, depending on where you subscribe.

You are responsible for reviewing the subscription terms before starting a trial or paid plan.

6. Parent Controls and Screen Time

Squibly may provide parental controls such as daily time limits, allowed usage hours, approved channels, video review, and content management.

Daily time limit controls how long a child may watch Squibly content each day. Allowed usage hours control when the child may access Squibly. If either limit is reached or violated, access may be restricted.

Squibly works to apply these settings accurately, but parents remain responsible for supervising child usage and reviewing settings regularly.

7. Content and Video Sources

Squibly may display, recommend, summarize, or organize video content from third-party platforms such as YouTube.

Squibly does not own all third-party videos shown or referenced in the app. Third-party content may be subject to the terms, policies, availability, and technical behavior of the original content provider.

Squibly's digests and recommendations are intended to support parent review, not replace parental judgment.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Squibly for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading purposes.
  • Attempt to bypass parental controls, account security, subscriptions, or access restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or interfere with Squibly's systems.
  • Upload or submit harmful, false, inappropriate, or unauthorized content.
  • Use Squibly in a way that disrupts service availability or security.

9. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and devices.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us immediately at: hello@squibly.app

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Squibly does not sell, rent, or trade your family's personal information.

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have as a parent.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep Squibly reliable and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

Features may be changed, paused, or discontinued as we improve the product or respond to technical, legal, or operational needs.

12. Disclaimers

Squibly is provided "as is" and "as available." While we work to provide a safe and parent-controlled experience, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content, recommendations, or digests will be perfect, complete, or error-free.

Parents should continue to review and supervise their child's viewing experience.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Squibly and its owners, employees, partners, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method.

Continued use of Squibly after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
